I have some semblance of the awful feelings ...Eric

I have some semblance of the awful feelings you are having as I have experienced them myself in my younger years.
I drove an ambulance in another time in my life and it was everything you put forth in your statements. The thrill of the chase, viewing the awful scenes that you encounter and arriving at the hospitals to have it all played out in glaring brightness in the E.R.
I also saw some terrible things, and the only way I learned to cope with it was in mentally distancing myself from reality, much like viewing something that was not real but merely playing out like a bad play or a scary movie.
Much like yourself I had seen the bloody, bruised, broken, burned, steamed, razored, bodies of the young children to old people dying in every conceivable manner of death one might conjure up in ones mind.
There is no escape mentally from these thoughts and certainly not from the actual acts themselves. As long as there are people living in as close a proximity as this society we live in there will always be these horrific acts commited by one person upon another.
Good luck and know that today I will ask several people to pray for you as well as myself. And as the Bible says, "This too shall pass".

In Our Prayers,
Phillip and Jane ChildersAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
